Not Whether or Not – But: Does it Matter?

It has come to me tonight That the fundamental question – was not whether – Or not it really happened If or if not it was based upon truth Or personal experience – But whether – as in whether or not It mattered. Does it Matter That Dupont wiped out the hemp industry in America in favor of petrochemical innovations like nylon, polyester and others – Somehow for the last at least Century and a half we have been at war somewhere killing our own – That mothers do not have the right to work with their children for their own best wishes for personal health care if the State…

Family, Legacy and Stuff Like it.

My niece is so brilliant – like the sun she is clear and bright and cogent. Listening to her tonight I felt as if I had found  somthing akin something – real. Something tuned in, tapped in and turned on – and ready to take on anything. It is an immense and amazing revelation to be confronted with one so clear, concise and precise in a world so full of subterfuge and superfluousness. What a blessing! If the world asks you “what?” answer it – and mean what you answer – there is no better game in all the universe than being true to what you can intuit and know…

    Downed Power Lines

The wind is up – and the spirits and whisperings of the past are up with them – ‘everybody’s talking’ as they say… Wind is up and there isn’t any question what direction it is blowing – no ones asking – ocean’s playing – wind is up. For a few days now – wind is up – One night the sparks were flyin’ – a shimmer of star like streaming into the ocean atmosphere – rising up off the lines and humming – a veritable singing – up into the darkness – out of here – we called the local power crew and they came and investigated – and mitigated…

How To Create A Credit Crisis – 101

I grew up without television. In my later years, more recently – I had occasion to have exposure to television – before the last move, for some eight years, there was a television in my home. The kids were watching robot wars, rebuilding of cars, myth busters and other amusing things – And even (or perhaps, particularly) on these what I thought of as rather off beat channels… The ads were incessant. Never ending – consistent as sunrise: “Call XYZ Today and Pay Off Your Credit Card Bills!” happy family in front of nice house with new truck… “We paid off all our bills, put on a new roof and…

    ramble

Contemplating belief and the human experience and our endless seeking of continuity and congruence. We pattern lovers we. How our innate drive for congruence is reflected everywhere in our culture and society – We want Dick Clark, every year, forever… And looking the same, too! This drive springs directly from our internal conscious awareness of our larger perspective. Our “soul” perspective, or eternal self. Yet we attempt to translate it into our in motion, action based physical experience and so find ourselves conflicted. We cannot make the world hold still. This eternal external expansion and creation “becoming ness” if you will of life is itself the direct outpouring of this…

    HomeComing

Bliss time in Momland is Thomas home for a visit We walk the dogs on the streets along the coast Watch the sunset and waves below He teaches me West African history back to the Moors and the 15th century as we walk and I Stand in awe and wonder At our becomingness. I like watching how he moves. the motion of his walk beside me and the motion of his mind – carrying me on new journys I feel sometimes as if I am carried on a wave of such larger intention it is almost enough, just to watch.

    Muzzi

It’s been nearly 8 months now since she made her grand exit. The funny thing is, seems to me I’ve thought about her more in this last some months since then than I had in the last five years of her life. Maybe I’m just unable to perceive this correctly and that just isn’t so. But it seems so. You’d have thought I’d have been ready. All those years playing close to the edge; dancing in the dragon’s jaws – false alarms and serious repercussions – her illnesses preceded her like a dark cloud on her own landscape… For all her recalcitrance and difficulty, I miss her. I miss what…

    American Fascism: Sub Prime Style

Following the unfolding saga of the Sub Prime Collapse, it’s easy to see where the players line up, if you know the “rest of the story” as it were… Now that Elliot Spitzer is out of the picture, no other brave souls seem to be stepping up to carry the message of the States’ Attorneys General to the Federal Government that it is not time to bail out Banks; it is time to take them to Court on Criminal Charges of Embezzlement, Racketeering, Instead the message is clear: the American People will pay to have their houses stolen from them while the bankers, and corporate leaders keep their money and…

    Holidays Gone Right

The deeper apprciation of children comes as they get older and become the active creators they were born to be. The nuances and playfulness of their inner worlds become visible. Especially at a time like Christmas, when they can choose gifts for each other and those they love. In our house that meant the arrival of tiny remote control helicopters this Christmas, delivered on behalf of Thomas, who is away in Africa this year, although at present he is Christmasing in England and Scotland. The family gift inspiration did not stop with Tom, however. Cory and Misty brought amazing and beautiful wrought iron wall hanging candle holders and new grill…
